We are pleased to announce that Dr. Teofilo Sanchez has been appointed as the Trauma Medical Director for the Emergency Department. Dr. Sanchez is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and has over 20 years of extensive experience. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Throughout his career, Dr. Sanchez has demonstrated a strong commitment to rural medicine by working in various rural hospitals across South Texas. Additionally, he has held multiple leadership positions throughout his career.
