At Medina Healthcare System, excellence isn’t something we chase, it’s something we live every day. That’s why we’re thrilled (and a little surprised!) to announce that our Emergency Department has been recognized with the Women’s Choice Award for Wait Time and Efficiency.

This recognition wasn’t something we set out to achieve. Instead, we focused on what truly matters: providing fast, efficient, and compassionate care to every patient who walks through our doors. That dedication has now been recognized on a national stage.

The Women’s Choice Award is especially meaningful because it reflects the voice of patients and the standards that matter most to them, including prompt attention during what can be some of life’s most stressful moments. Short wait times and operational efficiency aren’t just numbers on a report; they’re signs of a team working together, with heart, to ensure patients receive the care they need without delay.

What makes this award so special is that it reinforces what we already know: our Emergency Department team is extraordinary. From physicians and nurses to support staff and technicians, every member of the team plays a vital role in making sure our community receives the best possible care, quickly, efficiently, and with compassion.
