Terms of Service

Patient Text Messaging Policy
Medina Healthcare System uses text messaging to communicate with patients regarding appointment reminders, billing notifications, care coordination, and other healthcare-related services. Consent to receive text messages is not required as a condition of receiving care. Participation is voluntary. However, opting out may limit our ability to provide timely updates regarding your care.
Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Text messages sent through SMS or RCS channels may not be encrypted and could be accessible to others who have access to your mobile device or mobile service. To protect your privacy, Medina Healthcare System limits the content of text messages to non-sensitive information whenever possible. Detailed Protected Health Information (PHI) will be communicated through separate secure methods when appropriate.
You are responsible for providing and maintaining an accurate mobile phone number. If your mobile number changes, please notify Medina Healthcare System promptly.
You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying "STOP" to any message or by contacting Medina Healthcare System directly. You will receive a final confirmation message verifying your opt-out request. No further text messages will be sent unless you subsequently provide authorization to resume messaging, including by replying "START" where supported.
For assistance, reply "HELP" or contact Medina Healthcare System at 830-426-7444 or patientportal@medinahospital.net.
Your use of our text messaging services is also subject to Medina Healthcare System's Notice of Privacy Practices.
