Bio
Paula Golden brings more than 40 years of nursing experience and two decades of advanced practice to Medina Healthcare System. Originally from the Texas Panhandle, she grew up in Lubbock before attending Texas A&M University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Education in 1982. She went on to complete both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1987) and Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (2006) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Paula’s clinical background includes medical/surgical ICU, palliative care, and hospice, followed by nearly 20 years in family practice focused on chronic disease management and acute care in the San Antonio area. Her dedication to healthcare began early—she started in the field at age 15 as a hospital volunteer—and that commitment has shaped her entire career.
After many years in San Antonio, Paula relocated to her ranch near Tarpley eight years ago, where she enjoys gardening and caring for the animals on her homestead. She values being part of nature and serving the community she calls home.
