Dr. Laura Hansen has over 9 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree, went to medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth and then completed her residency at Texas A&M Family Medicine. Dr. Hansen grew up in the Houston area and then moved with her family to Boerne, TX. She knew that a rural community would be where she wanted to practice as it allowed her the ability to deliver babies, see pediatrics, and then treat chronic illnesses all in the same day. The Medina Healthcare System was her choice and she enjoys all scopes of family medicine, but is definitely passionate about working with new moms as well as planning, alongside, patients a strong prevention and wellness plan that meets their specific health needs. When not practicing medicine, you will find Dr. Hansen looking for the next rock to climb as she enjoys the adventures of hiking and outdoors alongside her husband, Matt and their children Claire and Maisie.

Dr. Hansen’s areas of expertise are family medicine and she is credentialed with most insurance carriers. She is always accepting new patients and enjoys the continuity of care she can provide patients at all ages. Dr. Hansen sees patients at the Medina Clinic of Hondo on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and the Medical Clinic of Devine on Tuesday and Thursday.
