Dr. Benjamin “B.J.” McCollum provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages. A Baylor University graduate, Dr. McCollum earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his residency at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center and went on to complete a Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
A U.S. Army veteran with twelve years of service, Dr. McCollum most recently served as Chief of Primary Care at Weed Army Community Hospital before joining Medina Healthcare System. He brings over a decade of experience in family medicine and obstetrics, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Dr. McCollum is excited to serve families in the Castroville and Hondo communities. Outside of medicine, he enjoys football, CrossFit, and spending time outdoors.
