We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ruben Rodriguez as the Director of the Medical Surgical Department at Medina Healthcare System. With over 18 years of diverse healthcare and management experience, Ruben is a leader dedicated to patient-centered care and possesses a proven track record in the field. During his tenure as a Nurse Manager at Houston Methodist, Ruben led a team that achieved the top ranking in customer service within the Houston Methodist system for over eight months. Ruben holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing in Executive Leadership through the same institution. His commitment to the profession has been recognized with multiple awards, including Nurse of the Year.

Having commenced his career in a small hospital, Ruben is eager to return to an environment that prioritizes optimizing patient care and enhancing patient outcomes through innovative approaches. He is enthusiastic about applying his expertise in process improvement and staff development to our Medical Surgical Department.
