We are excited to announce that Heather Johnston, Vice President of Human Resources at Medina Healthcare System, has been selected as a 2025 Texas Hospital Association (THA) Leadership Fellow!

Since its inception in 2014, this program has provided healthcare leaders with in-depth knowledge of the legislative and regulatory processes. It educates participants on key healthcare policy issues while connecting them with important stakeholders and policy decision-makers in Texas. The cohort meets quarterly in Austin for program modules that cover policy core competencies, real-time legislative updates, communication and presentation strategies, leadership and engagement, and insights from CEOs.

In addition to lectures and panel discussions, fellows engage in project development, competition, and mentoring components. Through this experiential learning environment and a curriculum that encourages active dialogue, participants are transformed into change agents who drive innovation within their organizations and influence Texas healthcare policy.
